3. John Knox (The Reformer) may have been born in Giffordsgate, Haddingtonshire, Scotland 1513.
John died November 24, 1572 in Edinburgh, Scotland.
His body was interred November 26, 1572 in Edinburgh, Scotland.

John married twice. (1)He married Marjory Bowes in Berwick-upon-Tweed, 1551.
Marjory was born in Berwick-upon-Tweed. 1531.
She was the daughter of Richard Bowes, Govoner of Norham Castle and Elisabeth Aske of Aske.
Marjory died December 1560.

John Knox (The Reformer) and Marjory Bowes had the following children:

7 i. Nathanial Knox was born in May 1557. He died in 1580.
8 ii. Eleazer Knox was born in 1558. He was baptized on 29 Nov 1558.
