Robert, born 16th Nov. 1763; Agnes; Alexander, born 1st Jan. 1769,
died 8th Feb. 1812; Ann, born 28th Aug. 1772 (marr. 6th July 1813,
William Forbes, Keeper of the Records of Council). The 'introduction
of the. Paraphrases into public worship gave offence to various persons
in the parish, and resulted in the formation (1783) of a Secession
congregation at Sighthill, now represented by Slateford U.F. Church.-Murray's
