28th Dec. 1692, aged 42, by whom he had issue Archibald, who predeceased
him; James, who succeeded to the estate of Ballikeigly,
Co. Down; Jean (marr. Hugh Hawthorn, merchant, Edinburgh); Dorothy
(marr. Philip Mair of Billcleugh,

and was mother of Thomas and Andrew, 6th and 7th Earls of Hyndford).[Scots
