He marr. 16th Feb. 1747, Margaret (died 30th Dec. 1773), daugh. of Adam Muir, brewer, and bailie of the Canongate, and had issue-John, born 14th Dec. 1747; Margaret, born 24th Feb. 1749; David, born 2nd June 1755.

1772 THOMAS M'COURTY, ord. min. of Dolphinton 1st Nov. 1759; pres. by Sir James Clerk of Penicuik, Bart., 23rd Oct. 1771; trans. and adm. 17th Jan. 1772; died 28th Dec. 1803, in 85th year. 1798 DAVID RITCHIE, pres. by Sir John Clerk of Penicuik, Bart., and adm. (assistant and successor) 2nd Feb. 1798; dem. 2nd Oct. 1799. He became min. of St Andrew's, Edinburgh, and Professor of Logic in the University of Edinburgh.
1799 THOMAS COULSTON, born at Dunfermline in 1763; licen. by Presb. of Kirkcaldy 5th May 1795; pres. by the trustee for Sir George Clerk of Penicuik, Bart., and ord. (assistant and successor) 12th March 1799; died unmarr. 13th March 1829.

1864 WILLIAM MALCOLM IMRIE, born Kinrossie, Collace, 2nd Feb. 1835, son of James I. and Janet Strachan; educated at St Martin's School, Perth Academy, and St Andrews Univ.; M.A.; licen. by Presb. of St Andrews; assistant at St Mary's, Dundee, and South Leith; ord. 12th May 1864; died unmarr. 29th April 1887.
