1689 JOHN MACKENZIE, third son of Donald  M. of Loggie; "served His Majesty seven years in foreign countries"; the edict for his admission was read at St Andrews, thirty miles distant, and not at K.; the parish was declared vacant 16th Oct. 1690, there being no legal settlement; he went to Holland, and died in London. -[MS.
