          - 329 - 17 after charge read He received a licence from Grindal, Archbishop of Canter

                                                    bury 6th April 1582 authorizing him to preach " in throughout the

                                                    whole Province of Canterbury," in consequence of his admission and

                                                    ordination "according to the laudable form and rite of the Reformed

                                                    Church of Scotland."

          - 322 - 12 - agriculturist read she died at Edinburgh 8th June 1867 aged 75 and

                                                    had three sons, Andrew, Robert, and James.

          - 400 - 30 for a widow read He marr. Margaret, daugh. of John Brown, merchant, St Andrews.

          - 403 - 16 - JAMES read JOHN.

          - 423 - 20 after 67, read 76th age, and delete what follows in ( ).

          -     "   22 - issue read seven sons, of whom the Rev. Robert, Vicar of Limber, Lin-

                                                      colnshire, (whose descendants are still in the ministry of the Church of

                                                      England, and Walter, periwig-maker in Dunse, besides four daughters.

          - 452 - 33 - A.M., read a native of Selkirk-after 1648, read he was tutor to Sir

                                                         Patrick Home of Polwarth, afterwards Earl of Marchmont.

          - 512 - 10 - Leslie, read who died at Edinburgh 3d Nov. 1867.

          - 686 - 9 read Not known now as a parish, or where situated.

          -718 - 24 - PARTON, The Church was dedicated to St. Inan, hence named Kilennan.

           726 - 34 - GREIVE, read son of G., Old-cambus, was elected to Bryson's bursary for four years by the Presb. of               

                                                          Dunbar 7th Aug. 1751
