1743. ANDREW ADAIR, son of Mr Thomas A, of Genoch, whom he succeeded in the estate; licen. by the Presb. of Stranraer 7th April 1742, called 13th Sept. after, ord. 10th March 1743; died 8th March 1794, in his 74th year and 52d min. He marr. in 1747 Isabella Macdowall, sister of John M. of Logan, she died l0th March 1793, and had two daugh. Mary, who marr. Mr James Maitland, min. of Sorbie, and another-Mr William Learmont, min. of Old Luce.-[Presb., and Syn. Reg., Sinclair's St. Acc. xvi., &c.]

1794. ISAAC DAVIDSON, D.D., trans. from Sorbie, pres. by George III. in April, and adm. 19th June; died 26th Dec. 1810. He marr. 11th May 1764, and had an only son, Elliot William, min. of Sorbie.-Publications-Accounts of Sorbie, and of Whithorn (Sinclair's St. Acc. i., xvi., xxi.)-[Presb., and Syn. 1811. CHRISTOPHER NICHOLSON, licen. by the Presb. of Edinburgh 25th April 1804, pres. by George, Prince Regent 23d Feb. and ord. 12th Sept. 1811. He got a new church erected in 1822. He died at Sands, par. of Culross, 24th Oct. 1867, in 88th age and 57th min. He marr. 9th June 1812 Mary, daugh. of John Kirkpatrick, Esq. of Bogrie; she died 16th Jan. 1864, and had John, Rev. Maxwell, one of the min. of Edinburgh, Benjamin C., and Hugh Hathorn, both merchants in Liverpool, and two daughters, Mary marr. James Cumming, Esq. of Dourie Bank, and Margaret-James Johnston, Esq. of Sands.-Publication Account of the Parish (New St. Acc. iv.)-Presb., and Syn.
