1756. WILLIAM BOYD, studied divinity five years under Professor Leechman of Glasgow, licen. by the Presb. 8th June 1753, pres. by Thomas Gordon, Esq. of Earlston, in April 1754, ord. 24th Feb. 1756; died 5th Feb. 1772, in 16th min., during which period the Lords Supper was not dispensed. HENRY CURRIE, a native of Kinross-shire, licen. by the Presb. of Glasgow 27th March 1793, pres. by Patrick Heron, Esq. of Heron 20th March, and ord. 23d Sept. 1802; got a new church built about 1815, and died suddenly, in retiring from a marriage banquet, 9th Dec. 1815, in his 64th year and 24th min. 1816. THOMAS CANNAN, trans. from Spynie, pres. by George IV. 18th April, and adm. 7th Sept.; died 19th Dec. 1832, in 43d age and 15th min. He marr. 20th Oct. 1818 Margaret, daugh. of David Kennedy, Esq. of Knocknalling, and had five sons, of whom James and Thomas, merchants, Manchester, David, John, and Henry, and three daughters, Mary, Agnes, and Margaret.-[Presb., and Syn. 1833. DAVID WELSH, a native of Dalmelington, studied divinity at the Univ. of Edinburgh, became tutor in the family of Colonel A.
