1687. THOMAS HENDERSON, A.M., took his degree from the Univ. of Edinburgh 1st March, 1679; ousted by the people at the Revolution, but was received into Communion by the Commission of Assembly 24th June 1701; and died between 15th April 1706, when he received a contribution from the Assembly, and 26th May 1718, when Janet Carlyle, his widow, had an order for payment of ijc merks with interest.-[Edin. 1691. PATRICK FLINT, A.M., obtained his degree at the Univ. of Edinburgh in 1671, called in March, and ord. (at Penpont) 29th May 1691, was a member of the Assembly 1692, and died between 22d Aug. and 19th Oct. same year, aged about 42, in 2d min. Helen Hamilton, relict, he had issue William, Elizabeth, Margaret, and Grissell, to whom James F., in Breichmilne, their uncle, was served nearest agnate 21st Feb. 1694.-[Reg. Laur. Univ. 1693. JOHN PASLEY, A.M., got his degree at the Univ. of Edinburgh 9th July 1687, licen. by the United Presb. of Angus and Mearns 25th Aug. 1692, called 29th March, and ord. 30th May 1693; died 4th Feb. 1712, aged about 45, in 19th min. A son died in 1702. Edin. Grad., Presb. Reg., Tombst.]
1714. JOHN HOWIE, called 24th Dec. 1713, ord. 13th May succeeding; died 22d Jan. 1734, in his 64th year and 20th min. He marr. in Dec. 1707, Margaret, daugh. of David Somervel, of Blackrig.-[Sess., Presb., and Test. Reg. (Dumf.).]
1734. ARCHIBALD LITTLE, licen. by the Presb. of Jedburgh 5th May 1731, called 27th June, and ord. 26th Sept. 1734; trans. to Kirkpatrick-Irongray 1st March 1759.-[Presb., and Syn. Reg.]
1760. ROBERT AITKIN, licen. by the Presb. of Ayr 20th March 1751, pres. by Charles, Duke of Queensberry and Dover in Sept. 1759, ord. 3d April thereafter; got the church rebuilt in 1781, and died 23d March 1789, in 57th age and 29th min. JOHN MURRAY, trans. from Abbotshall, pres. by Walter Francis, Duke of Buccleuch and Queensberry in Dec. 1838, and adm. 4th April succeeding; got the church removed, and a new one built and opened l0th Oct. 1841.
