1676. GIDEON BROUN, A.M., trans. from Legerwood, pres. by Charles II. 8th Feb.; deprived by the Privy Council 26th Sept. 1689, for rot reading the Proclamation of the Estates, rot praying for their Majesties William and Mary, and absenting himself from his church at the time appointed for reading the Proclamation. 1691. JOHN BELL, A.M., trans. from Ardrossan, called -, and adm. 12th Oct.; died in Jan. 1702, aged about 66, "a peaceable man," leaving a son, Mr Robert, min. of Cavers. -[Presb. Reg., Wodrow's MSS.]
1703. WILLIAM OLIPHANT, A.M., attained his degree at the Univ. of Edinburgh 13th July 1695, called 19th Jan. and ord. 6th May 1703; died in June 1709, aged about 36, in 7th min.-A daugh. Mary marr. Mr Pat. Hepburn, min. of Walston-[Edin. Grad., Presb., and Fogo Sess. Reg., Tombst.]
1710. JAMES CUNNINGHAM, A.M., took his degree at the Univ. of Edinburgh 29th April 1701, licen. by the Presb. 22nd March 17 09, called 12th Jan., and ord. 20th July 1710; died 12th May 1743, aged about 62, in 33rd min.-[Edin. Grad., Presb. Reg.]
1743. ALEXANDER DUNCAN, trans. from Traquair, pres. by Dame Grizel Baillie, Lady Murray, with consent of her mother 1st Aug. and adm. 24th Nov.; he had D.D. conferred, and died 29th Sept. 1795, in his 87th year and 58th min. He marr. Helen Home, who died 10th Jan. 1748, aged 36, and had Alexander, min. of Gordon, William, and Agnes who marr. Thomas Cleghorn, Esq., Inspector-General to the Board of Customs, and others. Esq., and grandson of the preceding, licen. by the Presb. of Dalkeith 5th July 1796, pres. by George Baillie, Esq. of Jerviswood 4th Aug., and ord. 28th Sept, same year; demitted 17th March, which was accepted 1st April 1845, and died 12th Dec. 1847, in 52nd min.
