1654. DAVID LIDDELL, A.M., obtained his degree at the Univ. and King's College, Aberdeen 31st July 1638; he had £100 sterl. modified to him by Parliament 4th July 1661, and was trans. to Glasgow (Barony par.) in 1662.-[Fasti Aberd., Dalkeith, and Jedburgh Presb., Edin. 1662. HENRY COKEURN, A.M., above mentioned, lately of Earlston, restored. He marr. Isobell Hutoun, and had a son Harie.-[Stow Sess., and Edin. Reg. (Bapt.), Acts Parl. vii.]
1663. WALTER KEYTH, A.M., acquired his degree at the Univ. of St. Andrews 9th July 1655, pres. by David, Lord Cardross, 14th Oct. and ord. and coll. 20th Nov. 1663; died in March 1682, aged about 47, in 19th min. 1683. WILLIAM ARROTT, A.M., studied at St. Leonard's College and had his degree from the Univ. of St. Andrews 25th July 1676, passed trials before the Presb. of Forfar, and was recommended 1st Dec. 1680 for licence. He was received into communion by the Presb. 12th Oct. 1691, and trans. to Montrose in 1696.-Act. Rect. Univ. St. And., Lauder Sess., and Presb. Reg., Reg. Old Dec. ii., Hist. of Gen. Ass. 1690.]
1702. HENRY HOME, A.M., took his degree at the Univ. of Edinburgh 13th July 1695, called 21st Aug. 1701, ord. 23rd Sept. 1702; died 19th June 1751, aged about 76, in 49th min., leaving issue.-[Reg. Laur. Univ. Edin., Presb., and Test. Reg. (Lauder), &c.
1752. DAVID SCOTT, licen. by the Presb. of St Andrews 21st Dec. 1737, pres. by James Peter, of Chapel, in Dec. 1751, and ord. 7th May thereafter; died 16th April 1792, in his 82d year, and 40th min. He marr., 4th March 1772, Elizabeth Borthwick, who died 30th Aug. 1803.-[Presb. Reg., &c.]
1793. THOMAS MURRAY, son of Mr Adam M., min. of Eccles, born 31st May 1759, appointed a teacher in Geo. Heriot's Hospital, Edinburgh, 4th Nov. 1783, licen. by the Presb. of Chirnside, 27th May 1784, and ord. by them 2d Sept. following, as min. of the Presbyterian congregation at Wooler; became assistant to the Rev. James Scott, Perth, in July 1789; was pres. by Hugh, Earl of Marchmont, 18th Aug. 1792, and adm. 26th Feb. succeeding; died 26th Oct. 1808, in 50th age, and 24th min. 1809. JOHN BROWN, ord. by the Presb. of Edinburgh 9th Nov. following, as min. of the Low-meeting in Berwick-on-Tweed, pres. by John Wauchope, Esq., Trustee on the Marchmont Estate, in April, and adm. 26th July 1809. He got a new church built in 1817, and died 15th June 1828, in 59th age, and 25th min. He marr. Philis Moscrop, who died 4th April 1854.-[Presb. Reg., New St. Acc. ii., &c.]
