DAVID STEVENSON, appointed schoolmaster of West Linton in 1810, licen. by the Presb. of Peebles 6th Aug. 1817, pres. by Walter Francis, Duke of Buccleuch and Queensberry and his curators in Nov. 1825, and ord. 12th May succeeding; died 18th April 1851, in 25th min. He marr. Christian, daugh. of Mr Taylor, farmer, Lasswade, and had a numerous family, of whom Charles Findlater is min. of Barry.-Publications-Two Sermons preached on the death of the Rev.
